I wanted to give everyone an update about the ConnX podcast during Annual Conference. I had originally planned on 3 podcasts a day. As it turns out that is going to be a little beyond my ability. For technical reasons I won't be able to post the Worship or Business sessions right now. I am still working on doing some round tables.

The South Carolina United Methodist Conference is received the Champions of After School Award from the South Carolina After-School Alliance and National After-school alliance, alone with other organizations at the annual Lights On After-School Rally. 

69% of Students do not have the option for after-school programming in our state because it’s not available. Ok so that’s over 2/3rds of our children who do not even have the option for after-school programming.

Of the children that do have the option for after-school programming. 86% of children who participate in after-school programming all year long, on average increase there academic scores.

I resently attended The Bishop's School of Ministry in Myrtle Beach and thought it would be nice to let everyone hear the kinds of presentation they have.

This Podcast is actually the presentation “A Cross Shaped Life – Wesleyan spiritual Formation” by Steve Manskar of the General Board of Global Ministries.

During the podcast Steve refers to a "handout" if you would like to download the handout to follow along with you can, but the presentation does pretty well on it's own.
