As it turns out that is going to be a little beyond my ability. For technical reasons I won't be able to post the Worship or Business sessions right now. <p>As I mentioned a couple of episodes back, I was at the  United Methodist Association of Communicators conference for a week at the end  of October. At that meeting <a href="http://archives.umc.org/interior.asp?ptid=1&amp;mid=10488" target="_blank">Larry Hollon</a> who is the General Secretary of United  Methodist Communications, gave a state of the Church keynote. It mainly deals  with Communications, but he has some really good insight to how the church as a  whole is functioning. So I thought it would be good to share it with everyone.  </p>

<p>The South Carolina United Methodist Conference is received the  Champions of After School Award from the South Carolina After-School Alliance  and National After-school alliance, alone with other organizations at the  annual Lights On After-School Rally.&nbsp; </p>
<p>69% of Students do not have the option for after-school  programming in our state because it&rsquo;s not available. Ok so that&rsquo;s over 2/3rds  of our children who do not even have the option for after-school programming.</p>
<p>Of the children that do have the option for after-school  programming. 86% of children who participate in after-school programming all  year long, on average increase there academic scores.</p>

<p>This Podcast is actually the presentation &ldquo;A Cross Shaped Life &ndash; Wesleyan  spiritual Formation&rdquo; by Steve Manskar of the General Board of Global Ministries. </p>
