Lynda Johnson: When you are currently advertising for a new editor, why is it necessary to take on new approaches to The Advocate ? He/She may bring other ideas to the table! (06/19/07)

Matt Brodie: I think there is still a little confusion about what ConnX was and what ConnX is becoming. ConnX has always been a publication of Connectional Ministries. It was placed as an insert into the Advocate as a distribution method. The advocate had policies in place that prohibited it from reporting on almost anything that had not already happend. ConnX was created to fill in those gaps and provide Conference related material in ways that the Advocate was not able to do. However, this year the advocate has officially changed those policies to allow for the content that was being covered by ConnX. Which in simple terms means that the Advocate will soon be doing the job ConnX was doing and ConnX would no longer be needed as a print publication. So we have decided to re-brand ConnX into this podcast. It is still under Connectional Ministries and is in not related to the Advocate. However, we do hope that the advocate will still be willing to work with the ConnX podcast to provide Local and National News.
I hope this helps clear a few things up.

Thanks for supporting ConnX

Lawrence F. Hays, Jr.: I just went to the ConnX podcast. What a great new addition! This ought to go a long way toward getting back some of the 20somethings and 30somethings that we have let slip away because we could not relate to them and them to us. I worry about that here at St John's. (06/20/07)
