Managing Stress

I have a confession to make.

I worry.  I stress.  I get anxious.  I don't manage my time well.

Maybe that's several confessions.  But the real issue is that I don't cope very well with life.  I have recently discovered a stress management website where I get daily email tips about how to manage stress better.  The subject line of the most recent email is this:  Eat less, spend less, do less, stress less.

Sounds like a good plan for the holidays.

So I'm going to eat less guiltily.  I'm going to stop stressing over every bite I put in my mouth.

I'm going to spend less time worrying about what other people think about how I celebrate the holidays.

I'm going to do less work.  (Hint: That includes blogging).

I'm going to stress less about what the future holds.  God is good, all the time.  And God's desire is to embrace us with all encompassing love, intimate relationship, and renewing grace.

May God bless you with surprising grace this Advent season.
